Jotform alternative
If you are starting from nothing and want to build a form from scratch, use Jotform. It has thousands of templates, a mature builder, and years of integrations we do not have. That is a genuinely better product for that job and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
The actual difference
The difference is where you start. Jotform starts you at a blank canvas: drag a field, type the label, choose the type, mark it required, repeat. That is fine for a form you are inventing. It is an hour of retyping for a form that already exists — the permission slip your district approved, the intake sheet your practice has used for nine years, the release your lawyer wrote.
We start from that document. Upload the PDF, or photograph the printed page, and the questions are read off it. You get the same form as a link, with the wording intact, without rebuilding it question by question.
So the comparison is not really feature-for-feature. It is whether your form exists yet.

What is the best Jotform alternative?
It depends which job you have. For building a new form from scratch, Jotform is hard to beat and honestly better than we are. For turning a form you already have — a PDF, a scan, a photograph of a printed page — into something people can fill in online, that is what this tool does and Jotform does not.
Can I import a PDF into a form builder?
Most builders let you attach a PDF or use it as a background; that is not the same as reading the questions off it. Here the document is the input — the questions, types and required fields are extracted, and you get an editable form without rebuilding it.
Do people filling in the form need an account?
No. They open a link and answer. Nobody signs up for anything to fill in a form, on either product.
Is there a free version?
Yes. The free plan converts a document and collects 100 responses a month with no account needed to start. Paid plans do not meter how many documents you convert.
