Terms

What we agree to do, what we do not promise, and how either of us can stop.

What the service does

You give it a document — a PDF, a scan, a photograph of a paper form — and it works out what the questions are and produces a web page that asks them. You share a link. Answers come back to you as a table, a spreadsheet, or your original document filled in.

Using it without an account

The first form needs no account: Free converts one document of up to 5 pages and collects 500 responses a month on a link you can share. The browser that made a form can claim it for 30 days. Make an account within that period and the form is permanently yours; leave it longer and the claim expires with the cookie that proved it.

What you may collect

Whatever you are lawfully entitled to ask for. You decide what the form asks and who you send it to, and you are responsible for having a basis to collect it — we do not check your form and we are not the ones asking.

What you may not do: collect information you have no right to, impersonate someone else in order to obtain it, use the service to send unsolicited mail, or upload anything unlawful. Any of these ends the account.

The limits are limits, not deletions

Each plan caps how many responses it stores — 1,000 on Free, 50,000 on Starter, 500,000 on Professional. Reaching that cap refuses new responses. It never removes ones you already have. Nothing you have collected is destroyed to enforce a billing tier, and no limit on this page is enforced by deleting your data.

Conversion is subject to fair use. Plans convert as many documents as you like within an allowance that is far above ordinary use; if an account goes past it we will write to you before doing anything.

Paying

Starter is $29 a month or $290 a year. Professional is $99 a month or $990 a year. A trial is 14 days of Professional, and needs no card. The pricing page has what each one includes.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you stop them. Payments are taken by Stripe; we never see your card number.

Stopping

To cancel, write to us and we will end the subscription at the end of the period you have paid for. There is no self-serve cancel button yet; until there is, a message is the way, and we will not make it difficult.

Cancelling stops the billing and drops the account to Free. It does not delete anything. Your responses stay until you delete them, and you can export everything at any time.

Your data

Answers collected on your forms are yours. We store them for you, we do not read them, and we do not sell them or use them to train anything. The privacy page says what happens to them in detail, including the one thing that leaves our servers and when.

Deleting a form removes every response and the uploaded document with it. That is not recoverable, by you or by us.

What we do not promise

We do not offer a guaranteed level of availability. The service is run carefully and monitored, and the security page says how — but there is no contractual uptime figure, and we would rather say so than publish one we do not measure against. If you need a written commitment, ask.

Reading a document is automated and is not always right. Check the form it produces before you send it to anyone — you can edit every question first, which is why that step exists.

Ending the account

You can stop at any time, and so can we — but we will not end a paid account without telling you why and giving you a chance to export what you have collected, except where the content is unlawful and we are required to act immediately.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, our liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, and we are not liable for lost profits or lost data beyond that.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will email account holders before it takes effect rather than quietly reposting the page with a new date. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance; if you would rather not, cancel and we will refund the unused part of the period.
